Disabled Widow(er)’s Benefits (DWB)
- The Claimant must be at least 50, and not have reached 60 years of age
- Generally, the rules are the same for SSDI claims
- Generally eligible for Medicare, if found disabled
Adult Disabled Child
- The Claimant must be disabled before age 22
- The Claimant must be evaluated and found disabled under Social Security’s list of disabling impairments
- Monthly payment amount calculated by lifetime earnings of parent or guardian
